【歐巴桑】驗眼記

同輩中歐巴桑一直是少數不用戴眼鏡的「異族」。當然這絕對是應該慶幸的好事,可是卻成了歐媽媽心目中沒有努力做人的鐵證→她覺得認真學習的人都一定會掛著厚厚的鏡片(!?)。反正歐巴桑就是個好逸惡勞的懶人,也省得花精神抗辯了
近一、二年無論長時間專注文書工作或溫習日本語時愈來愈力不從心。除了懶惰基因作祟,整個頭頸以致眼睛都很易感到疲累。上課時總在暗时教室的投影器的「效果」為何那樣差。偶然在報上讀到有關視力問題的文章,終於下決心來一趟視力檢查了。
搜尋一番後預約了理工大學的眼科視光學診所 (難道會有耳科視光學的嗎)。價格也許不便宜,但無論設備到視光師意見的中肯度還是大學的感覺比較有信心 。不用問啦…..校友是沒有折扣的….
由於要配合假裝要陪伴歐巴桑實質心底害怕但又想做檢查的大叔,待了數月才獲安排合意時段。不過據悉若不挑時段和不介意由視光學學生負責的話(收費會較便宜),只須幾天便可獲安排。到達診所登記後大叔扭扭擰擰地稱要ladies first(!)，結果還是被正義地先被召去檢查
終於到歐巴桑了。負責的是位說話親切細心，貌似年輕有為的帥哥（全文最重要的重點）。檢查原來遠比想像詳細，足足花了個多小時。除了看圖認字之類的測試，眼球肌肉活動、視網膜以致視覺神經線的健康也作出了詳盡的評估。帥哥花了不少時間細心地跟歐巴桑解釋檢查結果，雖然種種客觀數據背後只須用三個字總結→你。老。了。
幸好除了不太嚴重的Presbyopia（大叔按：老花就老花啦！扮甚麼高深）和一直不自知的輕度散光，歐巴桑的眼睛仍然很健康。帥哥殘酷地建議要開始配戴眼鏡去減輕眼球負擔以避免惡化，惟有乖乖的照做啦。診所內附設配眼鏡服務，價位豐儉由人大概跟街外的眼鏡店差不多。因為沒有相熟眼鏡店的關係順道光顧了，只是款式實在有點太「平實」。是，歐巴桑購物一向都是三心兩意的，但架上那副眼鏡後愈看愈覺得自己像那些奶粉廣告的老校長
適應過後發現做宅女時眼睛的確沒那麼疲累。變年輕是妄想了，但願至少也不要惡化吧。閱讀上網是生活中重要的後花園呢。
大叔的檢查結果？？原來視力檢查是不包括對身邊人「視而不見症」的檢查項目！哼！

    如果我再這樣的話, 就要再排期再作檢查,
    當時我心感委屈, 也只好努力配合,
    期間所流的也不清楚是眼水還是淚水…
    看來理大這個診所不錯呢, 不知道價錢大約多少?
    我其實做完lasik多年, 也想檢查一下是否仍然正常.

    檢查時心情難免緊張,大罵客人其實只會得到反效果。那次對你來說一定是可怕的經歷呀~
    收費方面由視光師診治的話要$500,視光系學生則忘記了,印象中好像大約$300。

    做完lasik之後, 有次我回去覆診, 重遇那位視光師,
    我發現他跟美女同事會有講有笑, 但對著其他人則黑面…
    幸好我遇到其他的護士和醫生都很專業、親切和有禮貌,
    否則我真怕自己會打退堂鼓呢…
    你說得對啊! 假如病人遇到親切的醫護人員,
    也會安心起來, 應該會更合作的.

    我也遇過一些無啦啦罵人嘅護士，真係令人感覺好差，連帶對有關機構甚至整個行業都留下壞印象，其實都幾無辜。
    順帶一提我視力的確係無問題嘅，曾經去考飛機師嘅 eyesight test都 pass，真係純粹陪歐巴桑去而已。

    You might look at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create
    article titles to grab viewers to open the links.
    You might try adding a video or a related picture
    or two to grab people excited about everything’ve got to
    say. Just my opinion, it would bring your posts
    a little bit more interesting.
